ALL HS Math students are eligible to enroll in the courses below.
Hello everyone!
I am excited to officially announce that I am offering a full slate of online, live high school math classes for the '20-'21 school year. This includes Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, & AP Calculus AB. The structure is a little bit different than traditional Epic Live courses. Here is what you and your students can expect:
I'm flipping the classroom!
-
Lesson plans will post in Google Classroom one week in advance.
-
Students will watch the instructional videos and complete notes prior to class.
-
Class will begin by clearing up any confusion and extending the lesson.
-
Next, students will transition to breakout rooms to complete small group activities.
-
Finally, we will come back together to discuss the activities and wrap up the class.
-
After class, additional work and a short assessment of the standard(s) taught will be assigned.

On Demand Help for Enrolled HS Students
Epic Live Math Collaboration
Additionally, I will provide one hour per week of on-demand tutoring ONLY for students in good standing of my classes. This will be for a quick drop in to ask questions or get additional instruction. This is NOT for make-up sessions or to work through a full lesson in the core curriculum. AP Calculus will have a separate on-demand hour.
Another exciting feature is cooperation with Homework Help. I have a dedicated group of tutors to work exclusively with my students. The tutors will schedule weekly meetings with any students needing or wanting that extra layer of support. I will make referrals after the first couple of weeks but may refer your student at any time. These tutoring sessions may focus on current standards or provide remediation. If referred, students are expected to choose a set time and attend weekly. We are currently working out the details, but there will be some positive changes within Homework Help for this cohort of students.
